Hello sweet friend,
I’m wishing you the softest respite of a weekend, hoping it’s been very restful for you. Amidst what can only be seen as a time of great change & uncertainty. Also beauty and new beginnings 🌷 Life is always both, isn’t it?
How do we sit with that, the discomfort that inevitably comes with not knowing what’s next?
It’s a question I’ve been sitting with often these days, how can we soothe and regulate ourselves (with tons of gentleness) when shit hits the fan, feels messy, out of control, chaotic….
Do we ever really have control?
The one thing that gives me solace when things/the world around me seem to be falling apart is that what I do have control over is myself and my own choices, the energy I bring to any situation.
I’ve been reflecting a lot on the energy I want to bring to any situation, no matter how stressful or not ideal. The person I want to show up as and be for the people in my realm.
Anyways, I had wanted to get this to you sooner, before the intensity of this weekend’s Eclipse hit, but I was following my own advice and deep promptings from my body to rest & meditate before extending my energy externally.
These are the best possible things to “do” (not really do, just be) during an eclipse. Which we are still in the energy of through April 4th, though really rippling for the next 6 months. Allowing yourself to be receptive to the void space that naturally occurs before completely new beginnings.
New Moons, and especially eclipses (in Aries no less - the beginning of a whole new cosmic cycle alongside Spring), are a time to rest, surrender, RELEASE.
You have probably been feeling the deep stirrings from within about what you are simply done with. What is no longer welcome or a part of your reality. What absolutely does not support you in any way. Right now, there is nothing to do about it, it’s coming loud and clear into your awareness and this IS the first step.
And perhaps writing these things on a little piece of paper or bay leaf, then burning it to ritualize your intentional release of it. 🔥 This is Aries season after all! Burn it all away…
For the next 5 days or so, I recommend simply listening to the calls from within. What is your inner wisdom, voice, and body telling you it needs in this moment of life? What would be life-giving?
What would feel like Love to you?
Love has the shape
and feel of water.
It is simultaneously
flexible and powerful.
It can adapt and roar;
it can also be silently nourishing.

One of the best ways I know to practice this inner listening is meditation and the deep relaxation that comes through yoga nidrā. Here is a selection of nidrā practices for you to choose from (follow which ones your intuition feels called towards right now, you know ✨ ):
