The Depths Rise to the Surface

When we spend enough time living life, we will start to realize that there are inevitable heavy moments that come alongside the many light-filled ones. This is simply the dance of life, and is actually a law of nature.

We need the dense, sturdy, stable, humbling, dark, grounding qualities to hold & create space for the lighter ones to flow, sparkle, shine, twinkle & grow. Think ~ riverbank and stream, soil and flower, night sky and stars….

Like a tree, we — as part of Nature, too — need both roots and fruits to be whole. We need to know both parts of ourselves, and all of our phases in between. Right now, many trees are in their delicate blossoming phase, with their fertile seeds and pollen calling out for a new and expanding cycle of life. They are eagerly reaching higher and further for the light, and so are we. And they couldn’t have done this growing if not for a season of reaching deeper into their roots.

So let’s talk about those roots and depths. A Scorpio Full Moon is pretty much insisting we do.

Sadness gives depth. Happiness gives height. Sadness gives roots. Happiness gives branches. Happiness is like a tree going into the sky, and sadness is like the roots going down into the womb of the earth. Both are needed, and the higher a tree goes, the deeper it goes, simultaneously. The bigger the tree, the bigger will be its roots. In fact, it is always in proportion. That's its balance.
