Happy Equinox, beautiful.

It’s a natural time of change, of slowing down, of everything shifting forms. The fruits ripen, the evenings cool, the leaves fall, our hearts warm.

It’s a time of fruition — enjoying and understanding the fruits of our labours from the previous months. What has come into existence?

We can surrender the outcome. Now is the time of ripening, the full expression. And with this comes an experience of bittersweetness, change, completion.

It’s normal and natural at this time of year that we begin cozying up and reflecting on what we’d like the coming months of our lives to look and feel like.

This is a rare and special time of balanced yin and yang energy, that is very potent for amplifying our intentions (see Fall Equinox Ritual below).

As things cool down and slow down, we begin turning inward. If we can embrace a slower pace and the quietness that this time of year encourages, we can better hear the calls of our soul.

With all this change happening around us, we may very well also notice a change happening within us.

Perhaps we too, are changing forms.

Letting go of old versions of self.

There is often a very natural process of grief when we are being called to evolve and release some part of our previous selves. Especially when we don’t yet fully know what the new version of Self looks like.

The soul grows by subtraction, not addition.

-Henry David Thoreau

Life calls us into new expressions of ourselves every so often. Will we listen to this call to expand? Like the butterfly becoming itself….the caterpillar doesn’t necessarily know what it is becoming next, it simply trusts the natural process of what it is made to become.

This requires Faith in the unknown.

This requires trusting the process of Life itself and its natural unfolding. Are you resisting or embracing this flow? Are you allowing yourself to become? What is calling you from within into the Great Unknown?

The caterpillar goes into the dark womb of the chrysalis without necessarily knowing what comes next….. but trusting. And ultimately expanding. It needs to release its previous form in order to become its next one. As does the seed to become the flower, the fruit.

We are headed into the dark and fertile months of transformation. Will you surrender to what’s to come next without yet seeing the full picture?

This requires a letting go first. The ultimate leap of faith.

Faith is believing in the unseen more than the seen.

What does this look like for you right now?

This time of year is when the dark and light are in perfect balance, and it gives us a chance to do the same in our lives. If you’ve been feeling a little off or like you could use a reset, this is the time to do it.

I’m wishing you such a beautiful transition into these quieter, deeply nourishing and reflective months. May they be full of less doing, and more being. May your faith continue to guide you towards what’s meant for you.

With love,
Julia

Below is a special ritual that is perfect for the next few days, to honour this time of the Equinox and energy of release, surrender, and intention. Enjoy! ❤️ 🕯 🍵

Fall Equinox Energy Balancing Ritual

We could all benefit from creating more intentional ritual in our lives, particularly at powerful energetic portals and transitions such as the equinoxes, solstices, new and full moons. Also, it’s fun to get witch-y and remember our own power ;)

Create some time and space for yourself ~ about 30-60 minutes if you can, where you won’t be interrupted and can have complete privacy to reflect and create this magic for yourself.

This would be lovely to do first thing in the morning but anytime you can make in the coming days is wonderful.
